Starlink announced a price increase for their portable RV services on Tuesday, Feb 21, 2023 via e-mail to their subscribers who live in areas with limited capacity beginning April 24, 2023.  The price increase is just $15, from $135 to $150 per month, but at what point is it just too much for some people and some applications?
When you’re spending $500 – $2500+ on a Starlink Antenna, why would you protect your investment with anything less?
It’s here… our large pipe adapter for Starlink, that fits over 2 7/8″ – 3″ pipes, poles, masts, and mounts, to accommodate your rectangular Starlink RV, Residential or Commercial Antenna.
Starlink is fast and awesome for sure, but is it reliable? Is it always-on? Can you count on it? Can you get a Static IP if you need it? Can you get good support when you need it? How long do you want to wait for a replacement part if you break it? What happens if a space storm wipes out some of their satellites, like recently happened? What happens if there are trees and tall buildings around you? What will happen when it comes out of beta and they actually set the cost, maybe even incorporate data caps and other restrictions. It might not be so great then.
So, if you’re just using the Internet for e-mail, Facebook or something where it doesn’t matter so much, Starlink may be just fine for you, but for Netflix, Zoom, Wi-Fi Calling and many other applications, it’s just not all it’s cracked up to be, at least yet!
